COS Boot Camps emerged from a small community initiative in Vancouver. Today, we offer a variety of multi-week fitness experiences across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, filled with every piece of equipment requested by our clients and more.

  1. Was my registration for COS Boot Camp successful?
  • You will automatically be sent an email confirming receipt of your payment, and enrollment in the class.

  1. What types of COS Boot Camps are offered?
  • We offer four- and six-week lifestyle experiences.
  • Both four- and six-week options are offered two or three days per week; the classes are one hour long.

  1. How long is a COS Boot Camp session?
  • Our typical sessions are six weeks long, unless special arrangements are made with the COS Boot Camp instructor.

  1. What are the fees for the COS Boot Camp?
  • Option 1 - $225 (plus G.S.T.) for a six-week (M,W,F) fitness experience in a specific class
  • Option 2- $150 (plus G.S.T) for a six-week (Mon,Thu) fitness experience in a specific class
  • Option 3 - $250 (plus G.S.T.) for a six-week fitness experience - with flexible attendance to morning & evening classes in various locations
  • Option 4 - $175 (plus G.S.T.) for a six-week fitness experience - 10 classes at any of our locations over a six-week period

  1. What forms do I need to complete
You will be sent a
  • PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire)
  • Participant Release and Waiver Agreement

  1. What is a Solutions Pass?
  • We realize that people work, and that other commitments can make it difficult to stick to a set workout regime, so we offer the Solutions Pass for your convenience. This pass lets the user attend 10 classes at any of our locations over a six-week period.

  1. Where are the COS Boot Camps held?
  • We are expanding! Currently we offer classes at two Vancouver locations, but we will be expanding to Surrey, White Rock, and UBC very soon.
  • Please contact us for more details on the exact locations of current and upcoming COS Boot Camps.

  1. What is your refund policy?
  • We let people make up any missed classes from their Boot Camp session at a later date, or transfer the remaining sessions of their pass to an associate. Arrangements must be discussed with the instructor well before the classes the participant cannot attend. Both parties must clearly understand what dates will be missed, and when the missed classes will be made up.
  • If you miss a class due to unexpected circumstances. You can attend a class at any of our locations within 24 hours following your missed class.

  1. Does the COS Boot Camp run on holidays?
  • We work around holidays, not on them. A holiday is meant to be just that … a holiday. Before starting each multi-week session, we discuss with the entire group how to make up for any holiday(s) within the regular multi-week period if possible, and outside the regular multi-week session if needed.

  1. May I attend different classes to fit my schedule?
  • Yes, we offer a flexible arrangement where our participants can attend any location at any time.

  1. Do the COS Boot Camps run rain or shine?
  • Yes, we have access to indoor facilities for most of our classes.

  1. Who attends COS Boot Camps?
  • Since the primary focus of Corporate Occupational Solutions Inc. is the business environment, classes will likely have participants from the business marketplace. This makes it a great place to meet people from a range of industries and professions.
  • People of all ages and walks of life take our classes, from the very fit to the less active. If you are not sure if the COS Boot Camp is for you, drop in to watch a class or participate in an initial Boot Camp class with us (courtesy of COS) – we will not pressure you to join. We appreciate you taking the time to watch how we conduct our classes to assess if they are the right fit for you.
  • Please note that the type of people in our classes will vary depending on the segment the class is tailored to. Certain classes are designed for the general public, while we also deliver sport-specific programs for athletes.

  1. What sets us apart from other Boot Camps?
  • We are sincere and passionate about health, wellness, and enhancing the lives of the people we work with. COS employs the best and most qualified instructors in the fitness business. Our team has great practical experience with both professional athletes and everyday people seeking to improve their current fitness. Our instructors maintain a “top-of-class” standard in the majority of their university courses.

  1. Why should I join the COS Boot Camps?
  • Our classes are filled with great people of all walks of life. During the classes, we rotate partners to promote teamwork, so you can meet new people and work together while having a great time.

  1. Will the COS Boot Camp be too intense?
  • Our sessions are designed to be inclusive. You will feel included in all of the exercises and are sure to succeed. Come and visit a class to see if it’s for you!

  1. If I join a session ‘late,’ will I be able to keep up?
  • Of course you can keep up. We encourage our participants to focus not on being better than the next person, but on improving relative to their previous performance.

  1. I am a “physical specimen”; will I get a workout?
  • Yes, if you are prepared for an intense training session, attend one COS Boot Camp class on us for free. If our class exceeds your expectations, we look forward to seeing you in a full multi-week series of classes. On the other hand, if our class does not meet your expectations, you likely learned a few new exercises and met a group of likeminded people, courtesy of COS.

  1. Who are the classes catered to?
  • At COS we promote an inclusive environment, and our classes accommodate all levels of fitness.

  1. Who should join the COS Boot Camp?
  • People seeking to enhance their physical performance and well-being, and those looking for a challenging change from their regular routines.

  1. Does COS provide health and wellness appraisals?
  • Yes, we can suggest various appraisal components, and design an appraisal to fit your needs and interests. With this set of baselines you can structure your program goals and strive for success. The appraisal will take place before your first class and within two days of your last class.

  1. Does the class involve running, burpees & pushups?
  • With the largest selection of equipment in a Boot Camp in Vancouver, we prefer to spend a very small amount of class time on these three exercises. We emphasize the basics, but by stressing variety and using with the greatest new fitness equipment. The goal is also to have fun!

  1. How can I provide anonymous feedback?
  • You can use an online form to submit your feedback to COS via internal email. No names, contact information, etc., just your anonymous feedback.

  1. How can we keep COS Boot Camp the best?
  • If you know of a different Boot Camp that is doing something we are not, and are interested in trying out the exercise or equipment you’ve heard of, just let us know. We can add new exercises to our classes, and purchase additional equipment if needed.

  1. What kind of results can I expect?
  • We hesitate to promise specific results, as these vary greatly depending on an individual’s goals, effort, and lifestyle. In general, our class participants have improved their mood, motivation, strength, self-confidence, and, especially, their endurance; other participants interested in weight management have noticed healthy weight loss and increased muscle tone.

  1. What exercises are performed in a COS Boot Camp?
  • Our seasoned instructors deliver a range of core-strengthening exercises, plyometrics, agility exercises, calisthenics, speed drills, circuit training, yoga, Pilates, and toning exercises

  1. What can I do to maintain my level of fitness?
  • “I feel like a champion, and want to keep up my high level of fitness – what do you suggest?” Participants have many options. They can join another multi-week session at a reduced rate, try one-on-one training from our personal trainers, or seek other avenues to continue realizing new potentials.

  1. How do I take my fitness to the next level?
  • We can recommend and arrange a number of follow-up steps for interested clients. We recommend that you have a thorough health and wellness appraisal after the Boot Camp, together with an energy intake analysis. Then COS can help you design a lifestyle-tailored program to maximize your potential. Regular program evaluation should be a feature of any such plan.

  1. What results should I expect following 4-6 weeks?
  • This is a common question, and we can’t honestly promise any one particular benefit across the board – such as gaining strength, increasing muscle tone, and, for those who are interested, losing weight – to everyone. This simply can’t be done. We don’t claim to perform miracles, but will help you get the results you want and are prepared to work for. Almost all participants succeed in achieving their goals following a multiple week commitment.

  1. May I bring my dog?
  • All friendly dogs are welcome to the COS Boot Camp classes. Your dog must be leashed at all times, and you must abide by city bylaws applicable where the Boot Camp is taking place. This includes, but is not limited to, cleaning up after your dog. Providing class participants are comfortable with a member bringing their pet, we appreciate the extra guest and welcome you and yours with open arms.
  • Please be aware that some people are afraid of dogs. Certain dogs can be very disruptive to a class, so we reserve the right to ask you not to bring yours to class.

  1. Could COS offer a Wedding Boot Camp?
  • Sure. That special day is just around the corner, and we’d be happy to work with your wedding party. We work with the bride, groom and his/her closest friends, and/or have everyone together in one class! Help us tailor the class to meet your needs.
  • We require a minimum of 10 participants
  • We design a multi-week session to get you in great shape before your wedding date
  • If you’ve got a wedding coming up, you’ve got enough on your mind. No need to worry about purchasing and bringing equipment to a class – let us arrange everything for all members of your Wedding Boot Camp.

  1. How do less than optimal weather conditions affect classes?
  • COS is affiliated with businesses in each neighboring area that our Boot Camps operate. Therefore, upon heavy rainfall, or other less than desirable weather conditions, we can easily take the class in doors, or keep it outside if every single person in class is in favor of keeping it outside.
