COS Leadership Series

Great leaders are critical to our society. Max De Pree, former CEO of Herman Miller Inc., says that, “The signs of outstanding leadership appear primarily among the followers reaching their potential. Are they learning? Serving? Managing Conflict? Do they change with grace? Do they achieve the required results?”

We aim to inspire and inform professionals by providing access to the knowledge and experience of successful leaders in our community. Attending COS Leadership Series events will leave you inspired and empowered to initiate positive developments in your business community and social networks–local or global in scale.

The events are geared towards the enhancement of informed problem-solving and visionary thinking. The COS Leadership Series also provides an environment that encourages leaders in the marketplace to create equitable and inclusive workplaces. Additionally, the Series provides networking opportunities to meet other savvy professionals, and motivates participants to apply their skills to benefit others.

1. Logistics

• The COS Leadership Series offers 4-6 events per year
• Business professional or business casual attire is appropriate
• A gourmet (hot) full-service breakfast with refreshments will be served to all attendees
• COS clients span a variety of business sectors, and typically represent a culturally diverse, multi-generational, and socially conscious workforce. The events provide you with an exceptional opportunity to meet other professionals, learn from like-minded individuals, and build strong business relationships

4. Attendees

• The COS Leadership Series is open to all professionals, academics, and students in the marketplace interested in great leaders. The Series is specifically geared towards business professionals and those in the community who are motivated to enhance their leadership acumen while maintaining a network-driven, business mindset. People in attendance are keen to learn leadership skills, lessons, and receive tips from experts who have been at the helm of very prestigious and top performing firms.

• COS provides you with an incredible and unique networking opportunity. In front of an attentive audience of professionals, you will have a chance to present your business, introduce yourself, or have COS showcase your leadership/ business on your behalf. The COS Leadership Series highlight will aid in opening doors for you and your business to some of Vancouver’s most influential people.

10. Fee for Leadership/ Business highlight

• Each Leadership/Business highlight can be purchased for the exceptional value of $250 (plus G.S.T.)

11.  Benefits of Leadership/ Business highlight

• Includes registration for one person to the event for which you are being highlighted
• Event attendees will receive an information package, and or business cards (which you have supplied COS with in advance) about your company, business, and/ or profession
• Five minutes of speaking time prior to a widely acclaimed leader
